The in 2006 newly established Chair for Innovation Economics at the Institute for Technology and Management in the Faculty of Economics and Management is endowed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) in Karlsruhe. The holder of the chair, Professor Knut Blind, is simultaneously head of the department "Regulation and Innovation" of the Fraunhofer Institute ISI and head of the ISI headquarter in Berlin.
Since May 1st 2008, he has been awarded the Endowed Chair of Standardisation at the "Rotterdam School of Management", at the Erasmus University, where he is, mainly responsible for the promotion of standardisation research of a member of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management. The chair basically studies a broad spectrum of questions in innovation economics, with its main focus on the interrelationships between innovation and regulation.
